Pulled out a stump last year. I needed a reason to use the jeep.

thanks, no haven’t done anything to the seat. It does seem to have more room than most stock setups, don’t really know why, probably the lack of a back cushion.

Moved a boat with the 46.  After much frustration and physical attempts - I used 1946 to pull a sailboat on a trailer up a steep grassy hill.

This does not sound like much, but the sailboat and its trailer are stored on the back hill over the winter.  I managed to manhandle the boat and trailer off of the storage blocks and move it forward and started up the grassy hill.  This usually is a 2 or 3 person job.  It just could not be done alone.

I positioned the Jeep over the crest in the hill in 4 wheel low with the tires chocked and the parking brake on.  If the parking brake failed, the Jeep was heading for the creek after it smashed the sailboat to hell (luckily everything held).  I used a chain with a clovehitch in it around the trailer tongue and hooked the chain to the front recovery hook of the 1946.  Let the clutch out, trying not to spin the tires in reverse.  With grass and dirt flying the Jeep managed to get it done.

It is remarkable what you can accomplish with these little vehicles - sometimes.

A different kind of "work" . .   used the winch to pull up a swingset.

This is not a great photo,  but the arrows show the winch cable.   The huge swingset was laying on its side,  and my wife and I could not tip it upright.    With a pulley in nearby tree,  it was easy to pull it up.

This swingset is probably at least as old as our '2A's,  and maybe even older.    My father got it from a co-worker in early 60's.    His friend got it from a school yard in mid 50's.  Who knows how long it was at the school before he got it.    The top bar is 12ft off the ground.    I look forward to my grandkids using the same swing that I did as a kid.  :-)

Yesterday Wilson pulled a few loads of brush out of the woods . .  here is photo of one load.

I was surprised that the green stuff would burn,   but if the fire was hot enough,   it would.

This is fire at one point:

So ironic . .   but after doing all that brush work yesterday  - >     TODAY a big oak tree in front yard was cut down.    Back in the spring I had someone quote taking down a dying tree.   I told him to fit into his schedule when he could,  that I was in no hurry.       Well,  he showed up today,  with 20 minutes notice. LOL

Back to work for Wilson.

This was a fairly large tree,  26" at the cut.  Not obvious in photo,  but the stump is visible near the right tail-light.    It was 74 years old.    We hated to lose it,  but had some scary dead branches over the driveway.  :-(
