I need a shock absorber brand and model number of the shocks that will fit a 47 CJ2A. I have to pretty well order my parts off the net or ebay and a Napa number is no good to me. I need like a munroe number or a brand etc of the front and rear shocks.i see ebay has like 19,000 shocks listed so hopefully I can get the right ones off there at the right price. Thanks for any info you share.Dale

This is an easy one....but Munroe shocks are unavailable anywhere....
However if you went to this site...you'd find MONROE shocks... I have read that these are not exact, but compared to cheepo repos - Got my vote. The catalog is easy to navigate. http://catalog.monroe.com/monroe/productImageDisplay.do?product=32207&locale=en&catalog=MONROE or... KYB have two different levels of dampening available : Gas -a-just and GR2. Tube profile is different, should fit nicely. KG5401 is one they offer. http://www.kyb.com/catalogs/index.php will get you started. NAPA - they are offering "NSA"'s in Canada http://www.napacanada.com/en/PartsAccessories/PartsSearch/SearchByCategory.aspx#Detail Amazon has good prices and selection for sure. Good prices here too.... http://www.shockwarehouse.com/Technical/Narrow-Search_3?accountnbr=1030903&type=2&make=18&model=154&year=65&submit=T You should be able to get any of these in winter 'Peg and save freight and some duties at the border. Sadly, Grab 'n Steal Tax is all yours... Good Luck Edited by misterberry - 30 Oct. 2010 at 6:34am |

Yes, you are correct they will work with stock height springs.
PS: www.napacanada.com shows 4 napas in the Winnipeg area. And it looks like the US part numbers work. Hope that helps. Russ Edited by russnj - 30 Oct. 2010 at 2:45pm |

The closest to originals that I've found are KYB 343030. Compressed and extended length are very close to origjinals and good quality.
