sorry about the delay on getting these up.... here's some scans of the Feb. 1955 Car Craft magazine article on the supercharged L134...

 
Neat stuff isn't it? I just wish they had a more in-depth description...

Man, I really miss the excitement of possibilities of those days. I have a small collection of Popular Mechanics magazines from 1926-1960 or so and the things people were trying were amazing.

PS : Ralf your linked article was very interesting but  it said that the blazer didnt go into production until 2001, I had an 81 blazer (K-5) that i put 465000 miles on , everyone that knew it called it the beast,( loud, ugly and unstoppable) unless they are referring to the s-10 version which personally i would sell for jeep parts.Embarrassed

There's a featured reprint of the Car Craft article in the current  issue (July 2013) of JP Magazine...pictures included. Supercharged L head and dual wheel adapters.
 
Also an article on Saginaw steering swap.
