After 6 years I've finally started the restoration on my 1946 Bantam. The trailer is registered on the Bantam page and you can see it as i bought it. Looking forward to this project and uploading photos as i go along. Looks like i need a couple of parts and hope the group can lead me to them. Happy New Year all,
Sal

Here is an amazing find--the original factory color still perfect on the inside of the rim. I think i may be the first person to remove the wheel and tire. Of to the automotive refinish store to get an exact match!

I've completed the tear down and have started the process of ordering the easy-to-get parts--bearings, seals, shackles, etc. Ordered a repo wiring kit from Vintage Wiring of Maine. The plan is to use PPG #PCT47100 Forest Green and see how well it matches the inside of the rim i posted earlier. All parts will be at the blasters tomorrow and should be back by Friday. I completely torn down the axle even disassembled the springs. It may be cheaper to powder coat everything since VA adds a lot to the disposal fee for paint, thinner, etc.

How did this one end up? I'm curious to see how that color looks, since our trailer was also that same color.

Yes, I'd like to know how close that color turned out to be as well since I've not seen anyone really list any good modern color numbers/sources to use....
