Are there any clubs in North Alabama or interest in forming a club in this area?
Thanks.

Mike, At the rate I am going, I will be a one man club. I have two in the driveway and am going to pick up two more I just bought. I probably will try to start something here in Northeast Alabama. I need the support of other addicts!

I would be one in spirit... My family is still in Morgan and Lawrence counties. I just don't get to make it back there but maybe twice a year.
Have you asked Chad (Rocnroll here) about teaming up? He's in the Florence area Where are you located? |

Hi Luke ,
I am located east of Florence in Guntersville.. The weather is finally getting nice and I might get a chance to work on something. I now have a Cj3a and 1956 3B in my yard. They were bought for parts but who knows?
I also purchase a 1951 ford F3 and parked it in line with the others. Sorta sounds like I got in over my head but I am enjoying every minute of playing with them.

I know the feeling of wanting to get something done. I plan to restart working my frame this sunday. after I get it how I want it I'll tarp it up and store it till I work thru the axles I sourced I think from a cj5. I just will have no extra money or time to work on it like I want. We're talking 2 jobs and maybe 5 bucks a week.
Too bad you can't get a government grant for automotive recycling, reintegration, resuscitation, or whatever "re" you can apply to the process. Especially since we essentially actually save resources and energy by reusing items that have already been mined, smelted, formed, molded, or whatever step you want to think of. We essentially, when you do the math, are "greener" than the the people who drive the new plastic battery operated toy versions of their former chrome and steel selves. |

I agree with you. Plus, the no frill design of the jeeps appeals to me.
I used to have the money and no time, now that I am retired, I have the time but no money. Until I can get some kind of shed built I will be working in my driveway. I pulled the front wheel and drums off my M38A1 last week end because the wheel was froze up and wouldn't roll. Thank goodness it was like I expected, the brakes were locked on it. I am going to put back together (hopefully) this weekend.
