A very nice find, and very complete. Examples like this are getting very hard to find. Have fun with it, Lee

Thanks to everyone for the comments!! and yes that is an oil pan turned over on the hood, I have never seen one used like that before but what ever works right .... Its a real shame they cut a hold in the hood though because that hood is pretty close to perfect if it was not for that darn hole. I don't get what people are thinking sometimes
Frank, Look forward to jeeping with you at the fall tour!!

You are just something...going to get married, have all those Jeeps and now another one. Off to the Army. Im sure shes a Jeep girl..Doesn't get better than that. Like I told you, there is no such thing as a Jeep Jerk Congatulations on everything you have going on , but most importantly your future wife. I might just have to pull the 5 thumbs up for this young man!

I would think long and hard before restoring that jeep.. the patina on it is fantastic!! And amazingly original still, 'cept of course the engine swap. A good metal worker could repair that hood for ya.
I know what ya mean about not wanting to sell a jeep......any jeep. Jeff I will be home in a couple of days so I can look at the bumpers I have....

Thanks very much!! Yes my girl is a jeep girl. She wants me to sand down Easy then she said SHE is going to paint him herself!!! I keep telling her after I take the gray paint off to see whats under it she can have at it she likes the cleaner look rather than the patina which I like better but at least that's all we have to argue about haha. Thanks again for the congratulations!!

I wont be repainting this jeep, like you said the patina is fantastic... I am still not sure what I am doing with it yet though. I have a rebuilt flat head in the garage I might just through in there even though its a civi motor it will look original. and then rebuild the tranny and but some canvas in it, then have someone fix the hood. But the list goes on and on and on so we shall see

Well I decided to pull the motor out today, after I got it out I took the useless metal off the front pumper. It was very hot today and took a few hours to get all that crap off anyway here are a few pictures.

Well I got the transmission and transfer case pulled out today.
Splitting the trans and transfer case Taking the tranny apart After the tranny came out of the cleaner, What an improvement!! Gears are still rusty but I think the sand blaster will take care of that |
