Does anybody know what a model VRP-4007-A voltage regulator would be used on?  It's listed as 32 max amps. Could it be used on a 2A? Thanks.

Dave:

Don't have an application listing for the 4007-A, but all adjustment specs are the same as for 4007-C2 except current limit: 32 amps vs 35 amps.

Often, the suffix codes just indicate different physical layouts: electrical terminal locations and/or chassis mounting holes, etc.

It should work on a CJ-2A, even at 32 amps.

Sean

ps, got photos?

Here's a few pics. The VRP-4007-A is the squared top compared to the VRP-4007-C2 with the rounded top.  All the connection points are marked the same in the same positions. Other than that you can compare the differences in appearance.
