Gary, Send me your phone number. My youngest boy broke a leg today so I am not sure how things will shake out but maybe in the afternoon we could hook up. My phone is 303-665-7114 and my cell is 303-356-2313. Lew |

So what happened? Did we all give up? I'm still interested, but I'm far enough from the "center"(Denver?) that I thought it best to let "You Guys" arrange something and then make plans to be there. If something is happening, somebody let me know. If something is not happening, let's MAKE it happen! BW 970-834-9300

Would be interrested in getting together for a trail run/Meet and greet/parts swap or what ever. The first step in getting an (in)formal club going- would be to meet first.

Ok guys, Let's get this club started. How about we meet at the Brewery Bar II located at 2nd and kalamath in Denver on Saturday the 11th of November at 3pm. The place should be quiet then with lots of room. They have the best green chilli in town. We could talk jeep all we want. I will pass the word to every flat fender guy I know of. Please do the same. If the weather is nice I will drive my '47 down there from Lafayette. I think this is a good spot as it would be central for guys comming down from the hills, Fort Collins, and Colo Springs. Drive your jeep if you can. We can set up the basics for a club. How about the CFFC? Colorado Flat Fender Club. If the weather is lousy then bring a picture of your jeep. Email me or post here if you are planning on going! See Ya There! Lew Ladwig 303-356-2313 cell 303-665-7114 hm

Just wanted to thank Daron and his great wife for hosting the latest meeting of the CFFC. We had a great time. I didn't get home until midnight. Daron's movies from W-O were great. Anyone owning a 2a should have a copy. The agrijeep that Daron is working on looks great. I think it will be running soon. Jim's stories of looking for parts were great. You can tell he has the hunter instinct when it comes to jeep stuff. It is amazing to hear the details discussed. If the time, food, and drink would last long enough we would be talking about the correct molecules that should be in the steel of a jeep nut. I think Bruce gets the travel award for comming down from northern Colorado.
Thanks all for a good time, Lew |

I'll second everything Lew said. It was well worth the trip from Camfield, even considering I missed a turn, wound up in Downtown Denver, and the trip home was 20 miles longer than the trip in! BW

Yeah wish I could have made it. But with my best friend being in town, and the normal load of homework (Mech. Engineering ) I was a bit strapped. Will try for next time though. Morgan |

Sorry for the low CFFC activity. I have been very busy with work and family and just keep running out of time. We have an event we can do in Scotts Bluff on Nov. 11. We will meet in the morning and go to the vet's home. Take those who want a ride and do their parade thru down town. It is a big event in that town. After that we will take Fred's GPA for a swim in a local lake. I plan on a pit stop at Cabela's on the way home.

Uh, Lew, Cabela's is not quite "on the way home" from Scottsbluff. But it IS close enuff that we can make it work! Hopefully my '48 will be ready by then. Good to hear from you. BW

Happy New Year! to all Colorado FlatFender Club "Members". I don't know about you-all, but I've got a BAD case of cabin fever. Got the '48 out today for a while, but it was too cold for much time spent. Plus it's not much fun alone.
Let's start working on a get-together, spring isn't that far off.(It can't get here too soon for me!) Maybe we could get together to plan a get-together.
I've been thinkin' on a trip up thru Cherokee Park an' down thru Red-Feather Lakes, or a loop thru Cherokee. I think we could do a Sunday ride, all gravel roads, or an overnighter with some two-trackin'. Not much real four-wheelin' to be found up there anymore, but some real nice scenery, and probably some wildlife. Let me know if you like the idea. I'm sure lots of you know some good places too. BW
