Hang in there... my son had open heart (cleft mv and asd) repair when he was 3 years old.  Heart was enlarged among other issues.  Surgery went well but they weren't able to fully repair the cleft mv (despite their efforts) and we've been monitoring 1 to 2x / year since with a full work up.  He's now 19 and healthy as an ox.  We still watch it but he has zero limitations or issues in spite of a less than ideal start and less than perfect heart.  He's been out of town for 3 weeks on a senior trip (just graduated high school).  I sold his old car and bought a '47 cj2a for us to tinker on and fix (along with my other son).  Hang in there... it all works out.

I hate reading stories like this, that they affect kids and families... and kinda make one feel guilty and humbled for simply having been blessed with reasonably decent health...

Love it.  My daughter and I use the 2A as our official fishing, trapping and hunting vehicle all year.  We've hauled all kinds of critters home in the 2a.  She loves it as much or more than me.

Go Buccos tonight!!!!
