Lots of progress since last post. We have the body aligned on the
finished frame. We also have most of the parts to finish the job. I
finally got the tires online and got a great deal. the steering wheel
is for a Cub Cadet 13" wheel.
We're hooking up the clutch and brake pedal soon...the steering column should be in place this weekend. after that, it's hook up a gas pedal, remove the body and take it for a test run. |

Oddly enough I was thinking about this project the other day.
I saw some chevron treaded tiller tires I thought would look good....they would be like an tires. Nice job. |

I'm sure there will be lots of yard use...but we do a lot of parades, so I thought that tread might be nasty on pavement.

We made a lot of advancements even though it doesn't look a lot different.
The steering is fully operational as is the clutch. The break linkage is 90% done. I applied the first coat of OD as things are really starting to shape up! My father in law is amazing with his ability to think up and create the parts we need to get this completed. Here is the steering in place: Here is the clutch and brake hooked up: The first coat of OD: |

I got the pedals at a military vehicle show http://redballonline.org/ComeEvents_&_News.htmThe steering wheel is a replacement for a cub cadet tractor.... I was glad to find one that looked very close to a jeep's and small enough to fit.

I would have liked to go with Cushman wheels and tires which are exact...but I got 5 of what's on it (spare to be mounted soon) for the price of 1 cooper/Cushman setup.
