DASH
So I think I have everything fit into the dash. A couple of the switches will still need to be pulled to attach wires. What a PITA. amazing how many more wires you can end up with when you add a few things LOL. The switches on the left are starting on the top left

Wiper/Washer (2spd intermittent with a push to wash)
Engine Fan control (Auto-On-Off)
Main Light Switch (Head, Park, Tail, Side marker, Dash, Dome)
Aux. Light Switch (Fog, Driving, Under dash Rear Floor)
Backup (manual control separate from the switch on the Shift tower)
Line Locks
On Board Air Compressor
Inverter
Spare

I can tell that once I get the Tub on the Chassis wiring is going to be a huge hurtle this winter.

Mark, your jeep must have nearly as many controls on its dash as the big trucks you drive at work...wow!

A few less my T800 has a pretty complete dash with 4) 2" gauges left of the Main display with Tach and Speedo and a digital display above outside temp, hours and odometers below. Then 12 gauges to the right, and maybe a dozen and a half switches from 3 to control lockers to TAG axle make cruise DEF work lights even a switch to control what the digital display does. I can even get the thing to communicate to me in 4-5 other languages. Then add in the Wet kit 2 hydraulic levers controls for the tailgates and auto tarps even a control to stretch the Reach. 18spd Tranny

And it rides like a 3 legged mule someone bolted an Oak church pew on top of and sent across a plowed field at a gallop. 10+ hours a day and I'm worn out.

For you, this is a simplified dash, for the rest of us it looks like an F35 cockpit..........I enjoy this thread and continue to borrow ideas, thanks

Borrow away. I have a whole wall of photos down loaded off the net that have inspired or helped me plan my build. I owe much to many many other Willys owners.

You need to put together a manual of how to use all those switches for after you're gone (many years from now, that is) and someone else ends up with the Jeep.

The switches will all be engraved with their function. The bottom 4 are all simple push pull on off to control what will be on their knobs. The dual light switches the one on the left will be as a conventional light switch the one on the right might need some explaining. As will the fan switch.

Mark you may want to put together a schematic on the wiring also. As the stock one will have little relevance here. Not just for future generations, but also for yourself. CRS will eventually set in (if it hasn’t already) and it may prove invaluable. Wink

I have most of the individual circuits drawn out. And that will go in my manual.

So I have either solved my fuse/relay box problem or wasted 75.00 at summit racing. I got 3) 10 circuit fuse blocks one for each Ignition, Battery, and Acc. circuits i already have relay sockets. Going to be fun wiring that mess up.

Progress very slow with 60 hour+ weeks as well as a very frustrating project. Making my fuse/relay panel enclosure. Today I got the box finished as well as the neoprene gasket that will help seal it from the elements. And then of course I notice it's going to interfere  with the left inner fender. So I need to cut off a bit of the corner of the box. And since its aluminum I now have to figure out how to get it to the guy who did the TIG welding g on my intake manifold to weld thing little 1.5" x 1" triangle on the corner.

Man I hate having to stop to have something done by someone else.im almost tempted to aluminum solder it together but with my luck I'd screw it up.

Try that aluminum solder deal they keep advertising on Facebook. I'd like to know if it really works and I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not seeing regular updates on Chug. It got so bad that I went out to the garage today and started back working on my YJ project.

It really remembers me a time, when I was looking for a new wheel bearing on my vehicle, cause the old one could swerve uncontrollably, creating a serious safety risk for me, and I've searched a lot of different blogs and resources to find out reviews, and long story short the only content that I found helpful was a website than a friend of mine recommended to me, where I found Timken SP500300.

OK guys sorry for the long dry spell. Work this fall has been killer 60+ hours a week. I have been working on stuffing wires under the dash while the tub is still on the Rotisserie. And with only one day a week to do anything its been going slow.

I ran into a real progress killer when I figured out that the fancy Fuse box I had just spent 3 weeks of days off making was not going to fit on the left side of firewall. It was just to deep so something like adjusting valves etc would require removing the huge fuse box.

SO I got a little annoyed at things and for a couple weeks got very little done. I have since modified my work so I can mount it up under the dash. I have the box setup so that groups of wires will go into 6 and 12 pin connectors allowing the Fuse panel to be removed should I want to work on it.

I been trying to work each circuit from one end to the other while dealing with stuff that will have to go between the chassis and the Tub (which obviously can't happen until I get the tub on the chassis) I'm getting close to the time I try to drop the tub on to the chassis so there will be photos at that time.

Once I get the tub on the chassis besides the wiring. The last big thing is to get the new steering column connected up.

Then finishing up 3 dozen things from the header to the distributor and maybe if I have a good long winter lay off and enough Willys money to buy up the last of the parts I should be able to fire up the engine early this spring and have it on the road soon after.

Be nice to have the Summer to wring it out and to get some serious progress on the Hard top before next winter.

OH man I can't believe I am going to do this but. I am just not happy with much of anything about the massive Fuse Block/Panel thing I have made. Pretty sure I will be ordering a different style of Fuse blocks and rebuilding the whole thing to be about 1/2 the size it is now. This will be the third time I have had this all figured out!

OH well its only time and money.
