An airplane internet buddy has this seat and he thought it was from an aircraft, but it looks like a Willys narrow bench seat accessory. Does anybody know what it goes to? I'm thinking Wagon or CJ-5.

I had seat that looked exactly like that from a '56 DJ3A, the 2 wheel drive delivery Jeep (early mail Jeep). The driver's seat was wider than normal, but that seat you have pictured was the "fold and tumble" passenger seat.

Now that I look at it a little more closely, my seat folded in half, so the back laid down onto the seat cushion and it folded up against the dash. The front legs fit to a hinge at the front of the tool box and the back legs just rested on the rear riser

I agree with Bob W. It looks to be the "mother-in-law" seat for a wagon.
If so, it is a rare find. Edited by mullen46cj2a - 04 Jan. 2015 at 1:49pm |

Anybody know where I can buy a 7th seat? My '47 station wagon has the clips but no seat. I just don't think its right for my mother in law to ride in the trailer any more!

I've got a small folding seat in a shed, not sure if it's the correct one you're looking for but I'll check this weekend and take a few pix. Probably have to have Waaaay to much for it ,cause that seems to be where others are going on prices. I could bring it to Hudson in the Spring.Just kidding on price. I'd need an email or ph number to text to.

Kevin, make sure you check the legs on it.....it should have the 'stab in' rear legs with flat slide in front legs.

Thanks Kevin and all. If it folds It would not be correct. The three pics above all look right. Price is no object, I'll ask my mother in law to chip in! FYI, there are a couple of folders on ebay. Right vintage but configured for front passenger seat: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1954-JEEP-WILLYS-OVERLAND-SW-WAGON-L-DRIVERS-SIDE-REAR-SEAT-/251882623369?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3aa55fd189&vxp=mtr
