A good excuse to break out the Cava, you certainly deserve it, well done! Big%20smileBig%20smileClapGuess you'll need to get some primer on it before you have to do it all over again (DAMHIKT) the devil never stops for tea breaksLOL

Looks great.  Now start smacking it with a rubber malet and and air hose.  It will take several hours of doing so to get all the sand out of it.  Flip it over a few times while you do this.  You don't want a sand finish to your primer.  I would prime with a good red oxide self etching auto primer.  The new stuff out there these days will work great.

Good job, Roberto, and my sympathy. I did my frame last month, and the springs. What a bear. Seems like the springs took nearly as long as the frame.

You will get all the sand out of your ears in a week or soThumbs%20Up

That looks great!

What kind of sandblaster do you have and what kind of abrasive do you use?

I bought a very cheap rig from northern equipment and the ceramic tips lasted about 10 minutes each.  Bob

Congratulations!  You will notice that little beads of sand will fall out of your hair, ears, behind your ears, out of your pockets for months.  I have truly found one job that is not my cup of tea.

Looks good.  Hope you will put a real good primer on this baby soon and then you are off to the races.

Hi, fellows!!!

Dean, I´m gonna prime the chassis frame with phosphatant paint. Check these pics:

These pics are from Natxo´s and mine blog, http://thejeeperwarehouse.blogspot.com/

Bob, about the sand blasting unit, this is a "chinese made", if I´m not wrong. Its capacity is 40 litres, and I have used white sand "Corindon" (from "Coniex" company, at Spain), 0.60 grs. This is a real fine sand, and I have invested at least 20 hours to do it.

My advise: be patient to get a result as this! I´m only a student and my master is Natxo "Txokat": http://bp0.blogger.com/_xNP22LdmyJ4/RcTfT-aHoyI/AAAAAAAAABM/Ahhu0t3wgMk/s1600-h/Natxo.jpg

Cheers, fellows!!! And many thanks for your interest.

Great pictures, Roberto

Now I understand why you don't just sit around and wait for my t-shirt mail.

You must do a good job of putting first things first.

Roberto:  Thanx for pictures and info about your sandblaster.

My cheap piece of junk sandblaster got returned to Northern Tool and just today I received a new American made unit, looks much like the one you have.  Have not tried it out yet but hope to on Saturday.

The little area on my frame that got sandblasted before the unit exploded is already beginning to rust....

Thanx again, Bob in Hot Springs, AR
