It was a barn find in Maple Ridge

Well with the sewing machine still out and having some extra material I decided to make a small storage pouch that attaches behind the drivers seat, I used the idea from a photo I seen with a canvas company and thought I can make that, now I still need to install some snaps but that is for tomorrow, this will be great to throw some water bottles or sunglasses or any other loose articles that you don't want blown around in the back of the jeep.

I may take you up on that.

So what do you do when you cant leave the house, you draw inspiration from Jpet and his skills with a sewing machine and lots of good guidance from my wife Michele.
After having such good success with the seats I made some bows from his cad drawings and made a half cab duster to keep the hot sun or a light rain off us.
I may make some half doors too for the cooler days, I find my hip/ leg tend to get cold during the fall/ winter drives.
This was made from cotton duck just like the seats the only difference is I doubled up the material all around , with Jpets picture's as a guide I fashioned the top, retainers , going back to his post and looking at the details for the corners and stitching, this by no means a replacement for the full top but with our dollar so bad I cant justify ordering up the 10 piece yet, this will be good until then.

That’s looking really good Andy, you did a amazing  job on your seats and your half cab duster.

the material and snaps we found at a local crafts store called Michaels

so I was able to finish installing the grommets and moved onto some old school waterproofing 

I used 2 parts beeswax 1 part linseed oil and 1 part turpentine, you slowly melt the beeswax in a double boiler or carefully on a old camp stove , once you melted the wax you slowly add the linseed oil and turpentine to the wax  stirring it all together ,, now this is very strong smell of the turpentine so you want to do this out side.
