With all the rust pits in that wheel, you wouldn't have to worry about spinning a tire on that one.  (Just looking at the bright side...)  Smile
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable

Yes, lots of traction on that rim with all the pitting.
Fortunately the other rim came out better.

I’ve been bogged down with work lately but got back to the rotisserie project yesterday. I took apart the double decker tub dolly to make room for the rotisserie. I hung the tub from the ceiling to get a feel for the rotisserie height and realized that my uprights are too long. So I lopped off their heads. More welding tomorrow but I’ll be close to having the tub mounted and spinning soon.

The ultimate porch swing.

Good thing I enjoy welding. Plus I need all the practice I can get.

Shorter but hopefully not too short.

Rotisserie is 2/3 done. Happy with it so far.
I’m a very slow fabricator.

Nice rotisserie, I need to make something like that if I ever decide to pull the tub.

I made some good progress on the rotisserie today. I got the tub to spin. Just need to add a bit of bracing and some casters.

Wish I could figure out how to post a video.

Upload video to YouTube. When finished hit the share arrow on YouTube to copy the url.
Back on the cj2apage you need to click the post reply button because the quick reply does not have the video option.
Click the little ribbon looking icon that is supposed to look like a few frames of old fashion movie film, but really doesn’t.
In the pop up window that comes up paste the url in the field that says “YouTube file name” Then click preview to make sure you did it right. If the video shows then close that window and click “post reply” on your original reply that now has the video line of code in it.

Andy dropped by recently to give me some advice on where to start with the bodywork. Having never done bodywork in the past I am truly clueless and appreciate the direction he gave.

He also took my leaky oil filter canister home and brazed it to seal the leak. It’s good to have friends with skills.

Thank you Andy.

I also picked up a used media blast cabinet. Looking forward to trying that out soon.

Andy scored this beautiful little fuel filter for me today at the white post swap meet.

Thanks buddy! Jeepers helping jeepers one part at a time.

Appreciated.

I finally got a chance to work on the tub today. It’s been really busy around here and I have not touched the jeep in about 8 weeks.

I was able to remove all the bits and pieces from the tub.
I got the tool box removed.
I made good progress on getting the hat channels off so I can start patching the floor.

I’m so happy I made the rotisserie. It was really nice to flip the tub back and forth as required.
