That is amazing. You would never know the tub had so much rust damage from your final picture. How long have you been working on the body? You had mentioned 4 yrs, is that correct?

Tub all finish, ready to put tub upside down and put frame on.To be able to line up frame mounts to body hat channels and floor riser.I then drilled and welded 3/8" inserts in hat channels and floor riser to fasten tub to frame at a later date.

My tub was all finished in epoxy primer. My neighbor had old Willys jeep in the early 80s,in his scrap pile in the woods .I found a mb/gpw grill that was a easy fix.So I decided to make my tub look more like mb/gpw jeep. Then I decided to install indent for axe and shovel.

That's really nice work. Great job on that old tub. Keep it up. Mines going on a little over three years, but the end is in sight now. Can't wait to see it upright with the MB grill on.

Yes I did leave the tailgate, I had to much work already done on the back end, tail light panels, tailgate opening surround. So I took a cj2a tailgate ,sandblasted it and a rusted out m38 tailgate, I used the reinforcement from the m38 and welded the reinforcement on the cj2a tailgate for the water container and a spare tire bracket I had from the m38 tailgate.

Found a rusted out rear seat of a m38,decided to make one with a school bus passenger seat frame. So I cut and welded pieces of the seat frame together to make the m38 seat frame and I made the bottom pan.

I Restored the manifolds, then I took apart, sandblasted and painted with special heat paint, I installed a new gasket, heat riser, fittings and bolts.I used a manifold from a m38 that was in better shape.

I had to repair my rad as it was in bad shape, but the core was good.I striped and cleaned the rad to the bare core,I found a good frame and a half decent fan shroud from an other rad.I sandblasted the frame and repaired the fan shroud.I also made a new piece for the bottom of the core.I solded the new bottom piece, frame and fan shroud back on.I pressure texted the rad for leaks,it checked o.k.
