Winner! Winner!  And Flatfender Ben as well....

Bruce, I went to the barn and poked my finger up inside the rear spring mount (LH side) -- yup, besides being well-worn (which I knew), it was snapped off.  Thanks!

What was the Husky chain saw used for in the first photo?

It's getting a workout... a real lumberjack will yawn, but it's all new for me (grew up in the prairie lands - trees were rare).

  You can take that stabilizer shock absorber off and throw it away. When we get done with you, you won’t need it.
