As the many patrols of the IFFC grow, they are making patrol patches to put on their IFFC jackets. But the founding patrol does not have a patch! We need a patch! Now the CFFC members are very creative. Please post some patch ideas. You can see the many patrols patches on the IFFC fb page for ideas. I suggest it should have a flat fender, something representing Colorado, something about being the founding patrol, and be simple enough color and detail wise that a patch under 5 inches can be made.

I would suggest the same thing we've been using on the FCT hats for years, only without the Aspen leaves. Or with them. Underneath, instead of "Fall Color Tour", it could say, " Colorado FlatFender Club, the FIRST IFFC Patrol"

Ok, patrols of the IFFC are really taking off with many patches being designed. I like Bruce's idea. Please check on the fb page all the different designs and let me know what you think. I will then get the patch guy to do a run. Mike, how is your hat gal doing? Anyone with a nice patch idea please send me a copy.

Lew, you know that I do not do Facebook, and believe it or not, I'm not the only one.
Only a few people in the CFFC have actually done anything other than talk about it, such as organizing events or even participating in them. I would think that it should be up to the actual ACTIVE members of the group to decide something like this. The design used on the FCT hats was originally proposed and accepted by the members of the CFFC as our logo, and then proposed and used on the FCT hats. In my mind, there should be no question as to what to use for a jacket patch. You seem to think that it should be no problem for me and others to become sheep like all the rest and go to Fb to see what's going on. I think that it should be no problem for you to actually post some things here. After all, the CJ2A Page is really the HOME of the CFFC. BW

Easy there Bruce. I think you took my asking wrong. I am not getting any input other than your idea for using the FCT logo that Mike had printed up. I kinda wanted to get input from the rest of the CFFC. That FCT logo was for Mike's event. I don't think it would be right to use it without Mike's OK.
I am trying to get input and drawings. Just don't seem to get much feedback. That is one reason I posted here. Even still, only you responded. I know you don't do FB but there is 1000% more activity there as the old chat forums are slowly going to the dust bin. We have some fantastic patrols formed and the members are great. Many are guys who have been to the CFFC rides. I would hope we can get a few sketches posted. Lew

Lew and Bruce,
And any other CFFC member who reads this, I recommend we use the FCT Jeep without the leaves. We could change the Fall Color Tour line to read Colorado Patrol. We could add a mountain profile behind the Jeep outline to highlight our mountain trails. I would make it a rectangular patch. If you guys are good with that I will ask Ellen to work up a draft patch for us to review. She's my go-to graphics artist. I'll have to pay for her time, but she's already got the basic pattern. |

I like that idea Mike. We need to ask Russ if it is ok to use the cj2a page profile. It would be cool as the page was fundamental in the club and the fct growth. I would be willing to toss a few bucks toward the project. The IFFC patch guy is here in Colorado. We could get a run of patches. I suggest guys get an extra or two so they can trade with guys that show up for our rides. Ellen can look on the IFFC fb page to see some of the other patches for ideas.
BTW, Bruce and I were talking about holding a club meeting soon to plan help for the NCMR, FCT, and what we are hoping for is a few other mid summer rides! Any member who has an idea for a fun event, ride, swap meet, ice cream social, car show, etc, please speak up! Lew |

Most of the IFFC guys put them on a WWII Tanker jacket. Those who were Navy go with the Navy version. Glad you like them. We were going for the military subdued style. I would post some patrol patches but it is a pain to post to photobucket.
I am curious what Ellen comes up with?! |

Hmmm... I was in the Navy. What's the Navy version look like? I'm not sure what jacket I'd put it on but I'd like to see the patch.

Do you do fb? Paul Churella has one. Looks nice. He wears it when posting videos on the IFFC fb page. Looks comfy too.
