You are correct then.
I have seen plenty of those, as you mentioned the Jeepster used them as well.
I suppose Willys could have used it this way and the screw could have been on the left or right hand side.

Is there any info on the spacer plate on the late driver side NACO and from which Vin were those if used on late 2a ?

dsc,  That Naco is not a vertical stud.  You happen to be holding it vertical though.  If you see the screw hole on the left side, that is actually the bottom of the light.
So that the lens cover is "hooked" on at the top and the screw is inserted at the bottom.

I want to say that I have seen a passenger side Naco with horizontal studs.  Not in person but I believe on ebay at some point in the past.  Since mine just had the reflector on the passenger side there was no need to bid.

I would have to say dealer or owner installed on the Passenger side.

CMHall Reflector would installed from the factory.

The parts list shows three different taillights, depending on serial number, and two different kits to add the right-side taillight. The kits are the same except for the different light assy. In both kits, the light assy supplied was the same as the LH standard taillight. In other words, the RH light is the same as the LH light. I guess you could paint over the clear glass.   BW

Same here...I've never seen a verticle stud solid housing.

Sean might know if he's monitoring.

Hello CJ2A member's

I have a stupid question? How was the position of the stud on the optional NACO tail light passenger side with out the glass for the license plate?
It was vertical or horizontal side?
Because all the NOS NACO for CJ2A I have seen have all the glass for the license plate and the vertical stud.
I have never seen the NACO tail light with vertical stud and with out the glass for the license plate.
