Wanted: Auburn trenching unit Location: Midwest USA My location: Indiana I hear this Jeep made an appearance at the fall reunion. After a 9 hour slingshot run to St Louis, it's in my driveway. Why? I have no idea. This 1948 CJ2A spent its life as a trencher. Somebody stripped the trencher, engine, and little misc pieces. I believe it would be a cardinal sin for this Jeep to be parted out. It still has the complete PTO system to run the trenching unit along with the rear mounting bracket, but it needs the trencher itself. Example of what I'm looking for: |

Thanks for the ads guys I appreciate it. I'm learning more about trenchers. This Jeep had an early Auburn trencher that mounted solely off the back end, where as the later hydraulic styles mounted inside the bed for better weight distribution.
@oldtime yep that's the Jeep. I've already started the title process and gathering parts for this rescue mission.

T here's a guy in town that removed trencher from a 2a. It had been used by utility co. To install gas pipe. Might be available. Located in SE Iowa . He just wanted the 2a. If someone's interested let me know and I'll check with him.
