getting ready for Pa. Winter. So just received the heater. Was wondering if I'm correct in assuming the front cooling valve is the water out valve on the l134. Might not matter but I'm  also installing an inline shutoff/flow control in the hose feeding the heater. ( old chevy style i think) works off of a choke/throttle cable. Trying to keep heat out of cab in warm weather. Thanks in advance for any help.

Top front drivers side of l134 has a actual spigot and pass.side rear has one too. Originally connected to the small 6volt heater that was up under the driver side dash.

OK, I gotcha. That port would be considered "heater outlet" or "engine inlet". That's where the coolant from the heater will return to the engine. "Heater inlet" or "engine outlet" is normally located on the top of the head at the very rear, sort of to the driver's side. The port "passenger side rear" (if I'm thinking of the same port you are, and there really isn't any other) is for the temperature gauge.  BW
