For the above post, I couldn't insert text for some reason. Anyway, while I was in Hershey last week, I went to the AACA library. I found these pictures of a 2A that were actually taken in 1946. Thought they might be interesting. The engine shot is to me. Just wish the oil filter decals were more legible.

Art can't say that I have seen any unfortunately.

Roc, I didn't notice that plate until you mentioned it.

This one isn't a 2A, but I thought it was high on the cool meter.

Love the pictures and made more special since they appear to be taken in a Noank, Ct boatyard, Right down the road from me.  Now, I need to find that license plate for our 46................

I really enjoy seeing these type photos.  I think B&W somehow enhance certain details and looking at these images you can see clues into what these jeeps would look like before being PO modified.

I can certainly see how sifting through a bunch of these would not seem like work!

Very nice pics from many angles - love it!  Wish we knew what the serial number was...  Interesting that it is a VEC '46 with indents but the windshield 'washers' are round not square.  Been trying to figure out when they made that switch.  Thanks for the post!
Too many 2A's - ask my wife

I like it, my 2a has the round washers by accident...ask MD Juan...but I also would like to know when they changed...actually I think that info is already on the page.
But the combination of tool cutouts and round washers is very interesting.

Can anyone shed some light on that contraption on the left side of the engine forward of the carb?
