Thank you!  I like the serial number idea, adding a letter, etc. may need some help dating it...I’ll post a few photos.

If I were you, I'd look at what my trailer has on it in terms of period correct components for a particular year, compare that with the registry database and pick a serial number that's not in use. Dataplate4U can re-pop one for you.

No the Data Plate is the only place. Early Military Surplus T-3 built trailers had an ACM number stamped in the front left gusset plate but it is not the same number.

My trailer is missing the data plate with the serial number.  Is there another location on the trailer where the serial number is located?
