Ben,

My black jeep had that cast iron bell housing when I got it- it never had a cover. I’m not sure of the application, but it’s older GM. The black jeep also has those Atlas hubs on it, one side at least.
You can easily look up the casting numbers on your engine and research them on the internet. Then you will know what you got. It could be a super valuable Corvette engine!

If you can't get there in a Jeep, get a motorcycle!

A while back I made the tuff decision to tame down the desert Dog, one front tire kept going flat Cry
So I switched tires.

Wow that looks lame....I mean..TAME!!Confused
For most chores around the farm the smaller tire work better.

I also decided it was time to clean out the back!
What do you haul around in the back of your Jeep?Shocked

Your little golden rod fence stretcher shows lots of use.  Most of the paint is gone.  Sure a handy device.
I really enjoy your pictures, stories and how you are not afraid to use your Jeeps as they were intended.

Ben, I just can't understand owning so many vehicles------LOL. A man after my own insanity. Cool part is if one isn't up and ready, you can just drive another. You have instant run ability at a moments notice. unless-----------------none of them are ready. Shocked We'll Jeep again some time in the future, Muley tells me so. Wink Oilly

I can’t take credit for wearing all the paint off the stretcher it had decades of experience before I started using it.

Made a shift boot out of old glove.
I just wish I would have retired the glove sooner as it had a hole... and I branded my thumb on a hot piece of metal!!!Angry

I just pulled the thumb and unused fingers inside.
With an OD the thumb could be used LOL
