Time for some over due service work on the ole 3B

I’m really enjoying my new Willy’s service shop.
Although it’s still not finished and I can’t find half my tools….

Oh and I decided to change the ice cubes in the air cleaner bowl…..
No wonder they are always rusted out.

Note to self, change oil more often just because it looks clean doesn’t mean there’s not moisture in the bottom.

Those tires would be fun on the coast dunes.

How cold was it in the shop?

I actually don’t know what the temperature was/is.
Need to put a thermometer out there.
If you spit on the concrete floor, it freezes instantly, so must be below freezing!! Lol
Also, when I pulled the icicle stick,  to check the oil it look like this.

Definitely will be heading to the desert dunes with the terra tires… when they’re not frozen solid.

Shop day
Testing Hobart welder.
Engine ran great.
Welder no zap zap…. Well I did find it at the scrap yard!
Looks like this flathead should go into the desert dog. Then I don’t have to keep buying spark plugs!

Sure wish I had that kind of room to work.
I only downside would be that I would fill it with more "old junk" as my wife calls it.

Did you ever get a Danforth anchor to use as a deadman like I suggested (after you had to hike cross country to get another vehicle when you got stuck with nothing to hook your winch to)?

No I didn’t…. But thanks for the reminder!
I figured I’d keep an eye out for one at a yard sale……… but I live in the desert so not a lot of boats around.
Plus bonus points for having a cool anchor hanging from the front bumper! Ha ha

I have one that’s the perfect size that I would give you although shipping probably makes it a deal breaker. Maybe some day we will meet and I can give it to you in person

You might want to keep an eye open for a used Pull Pal.  Kind of pricey new but they do work well.
