The crew-cab Ranger was a sweet rig. That the Cummins gave up going home from our Rye Valley adventure, not so sweet..

After driving through sagebrush it’s always a good idea to check for eastern Oregon pinion seal eaters!!
There kinda like ticks, you find them later in some hard to reach places.

Ben, genius, that woven fence makes a perfect windshield protection from bird strikes breaking your windshield at high speed pasture driving!

The pinion wrap prevents  gear oil seepage on to the garage floor. Too bad you can't use it on the rear main seal at the motor.

Love the pickup resting quietly. When does it get ranch duty?

Ice cream van in the background. Thumbs Up

New year adventure!
This adventure I went to my Grandmas property a few miles from windy Sage jeep farm.
The mission was to get a couple Willys pulled out of the brush and bring home.
For this adventure I needed a air compressor, Jack and lug wrench and a spare tire.
I went out to the hayshed and fired up desert Dog, while driving over to the shop I thought, wow it’s cold and frosty I need a heater!Cry!

Then I realize...wait a minute I have a jeep with a heater and doors!Clap
So I grabbed a battery and went to the other shed.

Well look at that the perfect jeep for the job.Clap
This is why I [NEED] multiple JeepsWink
Okay over to the shop to load up.

I did a Land Rover with the spare tire!
Okay, Over the hills and through the swamp to Grandmothers house I go.
It was kinda like a treasure hunt all over again relooking at junk I already owned LOL
First up Willys parts wagon!

Ahh cool jackman wheels.
And a good set of warn hubs.
This tire took air, the other rear tire was off the beadOuch

Don’t worry the other jackman wheel is around somewhere.
Time to use the Land Rover spare.
At this point I really wish I had a FC-170 tow truck!..... See I [NEED] more Jeeps!!!
Oh well I just used Grandpa’s old tractor.

Next up.
Willys pickup AKA Boomer.

When I say put a rock under the tire, I mean a ROCK!!!!

That song may have been different if Roy Jean had used this rock!!
I almost had to get a shovel to remove it, but finally wrestled it out!!!
Dad brought his nice tilt deck trailer over and we used the tractor to push it on.
I did find another use for the boom coming though my gate!!!

RINGER!!!
I could hardly believe it!!
Another job for boomer, wreath removal!!
Ha Ha.

Ben, a couple of hours with a rubber hammer and you're ready to paint. Bodywork is simple and easy.

Gotta love those Gin Poles. Awesome group of Jeeps you have. Treasure. You are Jeep rich. Clap

Need to see some more shots of that sweet ole 806 or 856 (?), that looks like a nice one. I was running a 706 almost before I could reach the pedals, on our cotton/soybean farms.
