I want to thank everyone here for all things I have learned on the forum.
I also want to see if I can post a picture. The yellow one is mine.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum! I assume the vehicles on the left are from your wife's collection?

Lets see some more pics of the 2A.

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife.

My wife and daughter drive the wannabes. Here are more pictures of the real jeep. The last one is of the water pump boss. It is a remanufactured engine from the mid 60's.

That's a strange place to stamp a serial number.

I also thought that was a strange place for a number. The engine came from Jeep around 1968. It was painted red and had a "Remanufactured by Jeep" sticker on the valve cover. Any thoughts?

   Hey Dave
That's quite the scrappy little CJ and once all tightened-up, you can pass it on to the kids eventually.
I figure one of my 3-grown children will wind up with my '46 ... I hope.

Our children have so different priorities than us, so they may not want it.

Have fun tinkering on that little rascal !
