These are for 2'8" doors correct? Add 4" for a 3-0 door?

Ralph

Ralf  the total width when finish is 31" and for the radius it's not that bad compare to the original.
I'm using my home made bender, the only problem I have is the 1/4" bend ,I have to use a dolly to finish the bend.

I'm just saying mine is not shaped like even your original....there is a nice bend there. Mine would be more of a rounded edge or 'roll'.

My angles going from the flat pushbar part to the angled pieces that attach it to the door also aren't quite as pronounced.

Nothing wrong with yours they just aren't shaped exactly like mine is all I was saying.

I'll look....I don't ever remember seeing a date but could be.

The logos (or sayings) give you a range of years they were used .(for people up on that Coke trivia...I'm not, so much) because they used different slogans for different years.

Most 0f them around here were for Wonder Bread but there was also a device to cut the paper off the can of chew. It's been years since I have seen either.

Gill, Where do you get the small grommets? I can only find the larger ones for tarps.

I tried with 18 Ga. left from CJ 2A patches. It took two men to make the long bend. I had to do the 1/4" bend entirely with a hammer and dolly.

Now ready to weld. Never again with 18 Ga.

The grommets I use are for shoes and belts, the hole is only 3/16".I'm doing mine with 20 gauge and it's hard to bend the 1/4" lip so I can imagine 18 gauge must be hard. I have a friend that is using 22 gauge to make them, much easier. I would love to see your screen push bar when done.

Yes they are worth more way more. I seen some original at the flea market last weekend and they were selling between $250 and $400 and  they were not in great shape .
