I got this Jeep from Nate sometime around May 2018 and had some fun with it until a wheel cylinder blew out so I tore out the drivetrain for a re-power. Well after cutting out the engine mounts I decided to go back with the L134 It's got a 2A frame, D25/D41 5.38, L134, T90A1, D18, M38 repop tub, 3a windshield, and rust. When I got it home A few weeks later I "upgraded" my tires so I could do some off-roading. To my surprise, the L134 pulled the tires just fine but acceleration suffered. Later I finally found some 16x4.5 wheels and bought some 700-16 ndt's (I traded the tires for my 3B) I trimmed down my wiper blade shafts so I could fold down the windshield. Some off roading.
Sometime after coming back from from the same place I noticed my brakes were squishy because a wheel cylinder went out. |

So lemme get this straight... you lost a wheel cylinder, and naturally pulled the engine?
You got this scope creep thang nailed

I see finned front brake drums in one of the pics--any idea what they're originally from?

They are 11x2 drums. I'm assuming 72-75 CJ5. I haven't taken the brakes apart yet so I can't say for sure that's what they are.

Good question, It needed a clutch soon and some gaskets/seals. But yes I did pull the engine mostly because of the wheel cylinder. Why? I enjoyed tearing it down.

Got some parts ordered to get this thing back off road. Hopefully I'll be running early sunday morning.
Cleaned up the bellhousing and t90/d18 with the pressure washer. Thought I was cleaning up the 2A mc bracket...I need to organize my parts pile.... Threw the last wheel in the shot peen (sandblaster was moving too slow for me) |

Walck’s has them. I really needed 3A driver side mount because the engine was from another Jeep. Engine is back in I just have to modify the brackets and figure out what I’m going to do with the brakes.
