Sent the trailer off to the blaster man. Hope to sneak out and get some primer today. If the weather cooperates, I may paint next week.
quick tip: I found these guys on-line. I was having trouble sourcing some u-bolts. A few simple measurements and i had them on my porch 36 hours later. Great service and product for reasonable money. |

Mike, you should be able to remove the points and condenser, take out The 2 screws that hold in the plate. Pretty sure you need to take the side post for the wire off also...then remove the shaft through the top. The bushings are easily knocked out, just be sure to line up the oil holes when you install the new ones.

Well, that is one thing about a sunrise on the shore: you can look far north and far south to see the effects. Any place else you aren't going to see much unless you're looking due east...

Thank you. After work today I checked all my gear boxes and greased it again ( Wanted the Jeep to be completely dry after watering it down yesterday, it was 74 degrees today and sunny! ) Transfer case was lower then I would have liked it to be at so I topped it off.

I topped off my transfer case and transmission, then pulled my car trailer up and checked it out. Getting everything ready to leave Friday morning for Gettysburg and the Mason-Dixon show.

Today I drove it to work but took the longer ( less traveled ) way to work. Seems like everyone waved to me today except the people in the new JK Jeep Wranglers

JKs are almost all automatics - it might be that people with automatics are too busy texting to wave.
Willys Jeep content - plan to change the exhaust on the 1946 tonight - running a MB style side exhaust with a front PTO winch. It has finally rusted through on the flex pipe after 10+ years.

Yeah! We aways wave first at ALL Jeeps whether we are in the 48, the 85, or the 2012. We figure some people just dont know about the WAVE and maybe we can educate them! Of course, there are some snobs in any group of people, but no group is ALL snobs. At least thats how I think.😐

Took a short ride to run some fuel stabilizer through the Jeep. Just as I was turning around to head home the clutch rod snapped. Limped home and ordered a new one.

If they are TJ or older, I will wave first. . . . CJ's will return a wave 98% of time, TJ's will wave 60% of time. Later models will occasionally wave first. (but when they do, I always wave back)
