Made tons of progress on driver's side floor replacement/

Did the finish work around replacing the driver's cowl step.  I have had the passenger step in for a couple years now.  The Jeep will finally be symmetrical again.

Repainted the front panel of my trailer. I really screwed up the first time and it had a massive set of runs across the whole panel. So we sanded her all smooth and re-shot it. Now i only have one beautiful run on the front panel. I hate this damn trailer right now....

Bought another one today. But I did take the overdrive apart. That should count for doing something, right ? Andy, come get your chains. Tongue

I got the rough in of the caliper front made as well as the entire mount done for the back of the rotor.  Now to complete the front side that will hold the pad as well as the cam that tightens it in place.

Working on the front brakes on my M38. Never having worked on one I am doing some guess work. No master cylinder came with or anything else to the front wheels so I have to work out all the hardware from the peddle out. Looks very much like a 2A so that helps a lot. I have several 2A’s for reference. Anyway my wife comes out to the shop and after awhile looks around and says JEEP, just endure every phase. Clever and accurate.

I love that woman.

FINALLY I got the mounts and out riggers for the Left side Rock Slider done and they don't interfere with anything else. Had to make completely different mounts for both the front and rear. I'm pretty happy with the way they came out. Now tomorrow I can drill 8 more holes in the frame and mount the Passenger side. That should be a piece of cake compared to the nightmare on the left.

Not even one step forward today.Took apart a running (well, sort of) Jeep to replace the old starter bushing. Tried to drive out the old bush with the new one, which split the new bushing. Dumb mistake. New bushing and a backup on order.

Got the out riggers and slider tubes welded together. Then filed the welds to reduce any big bumps and smoothed over them with PC-7 epoxy. Day or two I can sand them out and get them painted. Then put away until right before I drop the tub on as the widen the chassis enough to make a pain the get around in the shop.

I went for an after dinner ride last night. I'm looking for a new(er) tow vehicle, so looked at a couple trucks on local car lots. I had to keep telling them no, I don't want to trade in the jeep!

Thanks!......best part is I had the opportunity to explain the importance of an 'invasion star' during WW2 to my 10yr old grandson. He soaked that in and then thought the 'aged' civilian one was pretty cool.

I finished rebuilding my transfer case and put everything together. Once it stops raining and snowing, I'll paint it and try to put the engine together.

Worked a stuck #4 exhaust valve loose.  Did a short drive to get some gas and work the valve more and added some MMO to the fuel, hopefully that fixes it for good.
