It's been 2 years, 3 months since I got myself into this mess, but I'm finally getting close, and wanted to put up some pictures.
Here she is, a 1948 Willys Oldsmo-chevy, or Chevmobile, a 6 volt lefty, top speed of 39 mph, original paint (sort of), original engine (rebuilt), body made from patch panels and good intentions (previous owner, bless him and whatever recycling center he lived by), working gauges (more or less), and rust (mostly structural). She starts, she stops, and to be honest, that's mostly because of the advice and help that's been given to me by the people on this site. Thanks for writing all this stuff down.

Nice and tidy 2A, really looks to be in nice shape, with patina to spare!

Thanks guys, I stood far enough back so you can't see some of the more angry patina. It used to be owned by a car dealership, long enough ago they painted their 2 digit phone number on the sides. Not real sure why they painted 'oldsmobile' on one side and 'chevrolet ' on the other, but when I found that under all the moss and dirt, and realized grinding all the rust off meant there would be no body left, I knew there would be no paint job in her future. The dealership used it to plow their lot with a homemade plow that weighed about 5000 pounds. Bent the front frame down to the point where I had to cut 4 inches out of the frame and weld in patches. And I am not a welder, so fingers crossed on that one.

Thanks, I was hauling fencing out into the woods. Today was the first time I ever drove that Jeep for anything other than a short test drive. Felt good to be doing something useful. Still have a ways to go til she's done, but I guess you're never really done working on an old Jeep.
