I apologize if repeat post. I've looked for suggestions on where to purchase a timing oiler jet. Anyone know where to buy?
Thanks, Jon

Call the usual senders. I got one from Walks, but it's not a thing they can order, they just have to have one in their used stuff pile.

Do you have the original .070" if so with a little work you can make it into a .040" Easiest is to braze up the hole and redrill it with a #60 drill bit. I went a different route I drilled the hole out to a #29 and threaded it to 8-32 I then took a brass 8-32 screw and threaded it into the hole with RED Loctite and ground the head off flat leaving just the meat below the slot. I then drilled this with a #60 drill bit. |

Unfortunately, I don't have any others. I inherited the Jeep after partial restoration and trying to finish it up. The motor was rebuilt about 15 years ago and they forgot to put in a timing oiler in the rebuild. Thank you for your response and instructions.

If you can't find an .040 and would like to have an .070 to plug and re-drill, I believe I have a spare I could let you have cheap. BW

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Thanks Bruce! I'll let you know how the hunt goes. I did find both .70 and .40 listed at https://www.willysjeepparts.com/, have never bought from them. Going to call and see if they have it in stock.

I have purchased from this vendor in the past. The process is a bit archaic compared to the way we purchase things these days, but the transaction went fine and the stuff I bought was nice.
