looking to buy a 1978 dj with a straight 6. 
Will it swap into cj with a t-90 bellhouse or the 
Straight 6 bellhouse or an adapter.

No.
 You'll certainly run into maindrive gear length problems and bellhousing bolt pattern problems.
And likely additional control clutch issues to deal with.

AMC 232 and 258 straight sixes will never fit into a flatty without cutting into the firewall.
Great engines but generally a very poor choice for a flatty.

I have a friend with a little Ford 200 wedged into his Sisters CJ-3A and wh ever did it did a very good job of it and the thing still looks butchered The radiator is flush with the grill bars and the firewall had to be cut and boxed.
