Found this gem about 5 miles from the house. It is a 1948ish truck with L134, side shift transmission and the heavy duty Timkin (I think) rear end. So the question is, Is it worth messing with to harvest the engine and transmission for spare parts for a CJ2A? I think it has been outside it whole life at a local supply house for stone.
Here is a picture:

sure makes for a unique photo !
How many decades has that poor old truck been sitting idle. and it does have Good Patina :) that thing may take 4-cases of WD-40 to break things loose. _ _ or more ! |

I have seen working door handles sell for close to $200. A window regulator a gauge bezel who knows what some little piece might be worth to someone. As to parts for a 2A the side shift case and possibly column shift parts could be very desired by someone working on a VEC 2A.

I guess it all depends on the price you get it for, right?
Then you need to factor in your time and effort to break stuff loose and find buyers for anything you salvage. You also need space to store the truck while you work on it. All factors to consider...

I looks like there might be enough there to get it back together.
Something should be done with it, before it rusts away and is lost forever. If nothing else, set the cab and front sheet metal on a later 1 ton chassis and build a camper behind it.

Bolding mine. Nitpick/ Or only one case of any real penetrating oil. Kroil, CRC-556, Serret penetrating oil, Mouse Milk, & several others that actually work as penetrating oil. WD-40 is a Water Dispersent, IMHO, It is very good for getting moisture out of the distributor, & not much else. /nitpick. Too bad that pickup is so far away from Western Colorado, I might have a use for it.
