What do you guys have in the back of your Jeep?

I’m debating whether I want to install a back seat or just leave it open to haul random stuff around. Seems like a seat might be nice if I ever have more than a +1 with my for a Jeep ride, but I don’t know if I want to give up the utility of having open space.

No back seats in our Jeeps.  Our Airedale gets the space in back.

Stock back seat takes about 30 seconds to take out and about the same to install so there is no reason not to have it both ways.

I mostly keep my spare Andre overhead bag it the back when I’m wheeling by myself, but I have the seat and I put it in when I know there will be people around that want rides. My spare mount is long gone so when the seat goes in I usually leave the spare in the truck.

I have my rear seat setup so that it fits under the tabs that hold the front legs and then in the back it actually has two 1/2" bolts that replace the original clips. And then I have a bar across between the two rear seat legs that allow me to anchor the rear seat belts without having them going into the floor. It will take me about 3-4 min to install the seat when needed. But when I do it will be safe for my grand daughters to ride in.

A bed extender is also an option.

I put a back seat in this year for the grand kids.  The clips did not work and I ended up just bolting it in after cutting the holes for the new clips.
