Took the Jeep up Elk Hunt’in last week. Well, mostly camping and running around in a Jeep. The road into One area we used to go in to washed out several years ago. And has never been fixed. We were told that last summer a local group of quad and side by side riders put in a trail around the washout by connecting old cat roads. They said it wasn’t wide enough and way to rough for a Jeep. They were wrong. Here’s a few pictures.
Coming up to a creek Looking down into the crossing. From the other side. The washout from the back side The end result of forgetting the spare tire hanging off the side. Thanks quad guys. Where to now. Edited by Mike F - 04 Nov. 2019 at 2:30am |

Those guys really like to think that they can go places we can't. Like you said, they are wrong. BW

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Had the passenger take some videos. He was more concerned about holding on than getting the shot. Here’s the best of them.

A couple of other short videos. Again the camera operator was more interested in hanging on.

I don't blame him for holding on, that water looks pretty cold.

It was 18 degrees that morning. This was on the way out. It had warmed up a lot by then. He coulda held on with one hand and filmed with the other.

And the rock that caught the spare tire.
It took a little maneuvering climbing the high side to get around it.
