    Posted: 08 Nov. 2019 at 8:45pm
The po installed a Prestolite vacuum distributor on my L34 engine. The vacuum line has not been connected and I would like to hook it up. The carbs throttle body has the correct port for connecting the 1/16” line to the distributor But I have no idea what type of fitting I need. I know the distributors connection is 3/8 - 24.  Could someone provide a material list and/or a picture of the connections?
Thanks for any help. Bill

Just make the fitting at the distributor a barb and use a piece of vacuum tubing. And depending on your engine that distributor might be stock. The DJ engines had Vac advance and were made up through 65. 134L's

The port in the carb is 1/8” NPT (pipe thread) so get a 1/8” NPT x 1/16” hose barb and do as mark suggested, use vacume hose to the dist.

Ok, I had thought about the barbed fittings but I was afraid the heat would destroy the line. But this is only a temp rigging.

Thanks guys
