Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
First time I'll be spending it alone in nearly 4 decades as I'm deployed until late March and its a normal workday in Germany although the Base is pretty shut down. Been binge watching a few programs on my Firestick to pass the time today Please keep those serving in harms way that are less fortunate as me in your thoughts today. Gobble Gobble!!! |

Happy Thanksgiving Art. Thank you for your service. The last Thanksgiving I spent alone was 50 years ago. I was stationed at Ft Lewis and my wife had flown home to be with our families.
I'm thankful everyday for all the men and women who serve in this country. And I'm thankful too that this country, again, recognizes and honors their service. Barry |

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and especially those armed forces personnel away from home.
I can relate. I spent 3 consecutive Thanksgivings in Vietnam ('66, '67, '68) and the cooks, bless them, made sure that everyone got a proper Thanksgiving dinner. Actually, some of the best I can remember... I am thankful for the fellowship that this Forum provides. I have met some of you and hope to meet many more in my jeeping travels. Stay safe and enjoy the day. Also thank you to the healthcare workers and first responders. You have done wonders this year... |

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
My unit currently has about 30 deployed to various places that are not very nice throughout AFRICOM and another 20 about to head out the door before Christmas. Please keep all those currently serving in harms way in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season. I'll agree the Mess Halls, Dining Halls, and DFACs I've eaten a Holiday Meal in are truly some the most memorable and appreciated in my 40 year career. Also keep those suffering in medical and care facilities in your thoughts and prayers as well. 2020 has been a very tuff year and hopefully the winter season does not pay a heavy toll on us all.

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.
