Wife has been on me for two weeks to get a Christmas list together. And tonight she hits me with: And you need something the Grand Daughters can buy for you limit $25.00 each.

Well crap OK so I sit down and start thinking about what I need/want and what the Wife the son and Daughter/son inlaw and grand daughters might buy me.

And I thin hey one of the things I still need are Mirrors. Now being a Dump Truck driver I have some specific Ideas about what mirrors I want. So off I go looking for a 6" D round FLAT mirror for the drivers side and a 6" CONVEX mirror for the passenger side. (I gave up years ago trying to find the mirrors heated)

Anyway just by happenstance tonight the stars align and I find them from the same place in the same style and they aren't even expensive.

ONLY trouble is they are on an obscure Off road place that caters to Sand and Desert Racers NOT a Grand daughter can easily look it up and figure out what grandpa wants place. And the wife would just give up once it took more then 3 clicks to get there.

SO I ordered them myself. I feel like a putts.

I used to have a similar experience over the years. Kids and gkids would always ask my wife what to get me for Christmas. One year I told her to tell them that a guy like me can always use some new drill bits since they get used so much. I haven't had to buy drill bits for 3 years now. Last year I got some HF screwdrivers as well. Smile

FWIW,
Mike

I can’t stand trying to figure out what someone wants for Christmas, and I don’t want people stressing over what to get me. My method is simple. I find my own gifts. (Something small that I need). I tell each of my family members exactly what to get me and I even email them a link to the item. In return, I expect them to tell me exactly what they want and if they don’t, they get cash .... and less of it.

We've basically got a "no exchange" agreement with most everone we know, instead generally trying to get together for drinks or food over the holidays.  Hol and I stopped exchanging gifts after several years of successful returns LOL... It's just such a commercial rat race.  We've basically agreed to focus on the girls, and if we see something we need/want/wouldn't normally we buy ourselves a gift Tongue.  Every Xmas morning while the girls are unwrapping, we'll exchange "what'd I get you"s.

Always fits, always the right color... LOL

Pretty much this. Change girls to boys, & that was our story.

Now that the boys have kids of their own, we do the no gift exchange with them also & the grand kids do not buy grandma & grandpa any gifts. Grandma & grandpa will buy each grandchild a gift of grandma's choosing. LOL Works for us, so far....

Ruthie and I quit getting each other gifts years ago as we had what we needed or went out right and got it.
Ruthie picks out for our daughter and the granddaughters and daughter in law. I get to pick for the sons, son in law and grandsons.  Tools or fishing stuff usually takes care of my end.
Merry Christmas to all.

Dear Santa, all I need is a Jeep. Wink  It must be a brand new in the crate, never opened since 1941. Only a Slat Grill Jeep please. Just a old dusty Jeep. Can't be too costly eh?  LOL Oilly

Another bad guy here.

While making the dreaded "list" again this year for my wife and her family,   I am trying to think of  some Wilson items.

Instead of listing them,  I am buying them.  LOL   (too hard to explain what I want,  and they don't seem like a "Christmas gift").

I need to move on to a gift that does not involve Wilson upgrades.

I am so jealous of all of you who do not have to come up with lists!!
