Just thought I’d let you know that our Dachshund, Frankie Passed Yesterday. She was a regular at Reunions both Spring and Fall. Her job was to inspect the underside of all Willys Vehicles, Eat tiny scraps to small for the naked eye to see. Fetch tennis balls and give her approval to Everyone in attendance. Thanks to all who interacted with her. Monica sent me a Great Photo of Frankie in Chads Mini Frankie.Monica  Please Post the pic here . Thanks, Joni &Kevin

Even though I never have met Frankie or you I am sorry for your loss. Pets certainly become part of the family and its always hard to see them go.

We are dog people too.

We have some older dogs. Last Summer we lost two of those. One a 15 year old Siberian Husky named "Diva", who was the absolute smartest dog I ever knew, and the other an old Bassett Sheppard mix named Max who was at least 18 years old and always a protector and loving companion to all of us, and especially loved by our children and grandchildren.

We have four dogs now. Two are young Bostons, and two are older dogs, another Siberian named "Meeshka", and a Chihuahua / Corgy mix named "Chubby" both of these are 15 years old.

Chubby, like most Chihuahuas is mostly a one person dog, and I am his human. He doesn't let me out of his sight if he can help it. Mostly he still acts like a puppy, very playful and alert, but age is impacting his abilty to get around, and recently he has stumbled going down the stairs and fell all the way down them, so I now have to carry him down the stairs, and he can no longer jump high enough to get in his favorite chair.

In my opinion dogs are the only creatures truly capable of unconditional love, and the price we pay for having such wonderful beings in our lives is we usually out live them.

 So sorry for your loss.

Lost our faithful companion of over 15 years recently as well. It stinks. We are now in search of a new friend that will want to share life with us.

It's tough to lose a beloved pet. Usually they become family members and bring much joy to all concerned. So sorry for your loss. Our family has had quite a few dogs and cats over the years. Now we have a calico cat; Pandora & a Chocolate Lab named Molly. I'm surrounded by females; even the pets.
