OK so I have my Pin striping jig/machine finished. So I thought I would show it off.

Paint showed up late this afternoon so I might give it a twirl tomorrow and see how it does.,

Its adjustable for Wheel Diameter, Pin strip circle diameter, pin strip width (I have 17 different paint wheels up to 1/4" wide even some double lines),it can adjust to any wheel angle surface.

So I think it will do what I need.

Hopefully by the end of the weekend I have pin striped wheels.

And stay tuned when I am done with this myself I have an idea.

Yes but keep in mind they were hand painted by people who had painted thousands upon thousands of them. So they were virtually machine like.

I have never pin striped anything but a model airplane and that with tape. So I wanted my pin stripe to look like it was done by someone who knew what they were doing. Hopefully this will help.

And you might have noticed my build has little to do with factory anything.

Yep.  Kinda noticed that about your build. Some beautiful craftsmanship   Have seen demos of that beugler being used. Once it’s set up right, it puts down great lines   I got to try it and it worked great. Comparable to lines put down with striping brushes.

That pin-striping rig looks like something used at Lockheed on the SR-71 program. Mark never ceases to amaze us with his design engineering. Can wait to see the striped wheels.

Mark, just a tip.....the pinstriper guys I've watched keep a rag damp with mineral spirits as an 'eraser'....One Shot wipes rights off cleanly with it.

Thanks for the eraser tip roc, I'll use that. The only part of the rig purchased was the actual Beugler pinstrip pen.

Is the Beugler pen made in USA?  I am trying to think of ways to spend stimulus money, but has to go to US economy

Love it!  . . order placed . . directly on their website.  Thanks Roc!

Also thanks to Mark for sharing a great way to pin stripe a wheel.

It will be a while before I pin-stripe the wheels on '3A project . .   but my son has a sign project he wants me to work on now,  and I think this pen will work great.

So for a job that will only be performed on maybe 8 wheels, Mark makes a jig that could be used about 8 million times.  That boy don't do nothin' half-a$$ed!  Thumbs Up  Thumbs Up

OK before this gets away from me. I should let you all in on an idea I had when I  made the jig.

I'm planning to rent it out. Complete with the pen and instructions. The deal would be the renter sends me $125.00 They provide their own little can of One Shot striping paint. When the job is done and the jig returned I send the renter back $100. So the cost to the renter is $25.00 & shipping one way. And they can do as many wheels as they want. Should the jig not come back I at least cover the cost of the pen.

Once I have used it I'll make up a post in the Forum Member created parts forum.
