Today we finished up Grandpa’s Jeep and we picked up a motor that I bought. I don’t have trailer ramps but Rock Cred adapted:

Tomorrow we are going to try to do Poison Spider. I’ve got a throw out bearing that’s starting to make some noise but we will give it a try.

Today is the last day. We did Poison Spider Mesa:

I didn’t take many pictures but here are a few of Rock Cred:

..... we are all packed up and heading out in the morning. My truck is in Grand Junction having the trans rebuilt. Stan is giving me a my trailer a lift back to Grand Jct and then he’s coming back to Moab to pick up his trailer and head home. If there is anyone from Grand Junction following this thread who wants to hang out tomorrow, I have nothing else to do all day. I could even take BAM BAM off the trailer if there was some wheeling.

Here is a video of the Shafer Switchbacks:

smfulle has tried to get me on these switchbacks for the last couple years but we could never fit it in but this time we had the place to ourselves for 10 days. Was I surprised! This trail is absolutely beautiful and a must do! If you love shelf roads, (my personal favorite), these switchbacks are as beautiful and amaziing as anything I have laid eyes on. Even more fun if you are afraid of heights! No danger and plenty of room to pass.

Been on those switchbacks a few years back in a rented jeep, had 12 miles on the odometer when we took off that morning. Ten hours of the most fun i have had on four wheels!  -- "low fuel" light clicked on about 30 miles from Moab..... would love to be able to someday take my '47 there!
