Not sure where the bullet is. Maybe I'll find it when we get to working on it! Going to pick it up this coming Saturday and begin the process! She'll be getting a new wiring harness for sure. The insulation on the wires is stiff as all get out!

I'm not sure when the bullet hole was made, but I was told that the heater would make you want the doors off if the hard top was on! If it doesn't work, I won't be all that torn up about it, though. Thanks for the welcome, and I'll be asking many many questions! We go pick it up this coming Saturday, so after it's sat with some Marvel Mystery Oil in it for a few days, I'll find out if it turns.

Thanks for the welcome! Everything will be saved. The sprayer will be staying out at my stepdad's though. No room for it at the inn, haha!

By a box of ziploc sandwich bags and a sharpie to help label, bolts, nuts brackets. Take pics of what ever your removing, always.
Take it apart like your going to be the one reinstalling it later on, good habit to start now

Oh man I HATE, pack rats!!!!
Stinkin things!! There really quite cute when your looking down the barrel of a gun at them Maybe that why there’s a bullet hole??? I’ve killed about six of them since moving to the desert. I shot one off the top of the radiator on my 3B!!! Within two days of parking it had made a nest and chewed on wires!!

Stinking gross little things! I'm gonna make sure they're all out of the vehicle before we get it up on the trailer to head home. Luckily those things are nowhere to be found at its new home!

We had them at our west TX deer lease, they loved to steal shiny objects and fancy up their homes with them. we always knew where to go from the shiny silver bullet cans... We had to use bailing wire to keep the rat poison under our trailers, cause we didn't like when the rattlesnakes moved in to help us remove them. We kept a loaded pellet gun ready to dispatch them after dark.

I read a review of a late '70s CJ once and it said the heater had 3 positions: hot, hotter, and I SAID REPENT, SINNER!

We went and picked up Papa Doc yesterday! It was cool to see him move from the only spot I've ever seen him sit. Both the front tires are shredded, but the rear ones hold air. Doesn't matter, he'll be getting new shoes anyway.
Got the rat's nest cleaned out of the engine bay and discovered that it has a hard top! I brought the hard top home, but honestly will probably never use it. My stepdad believes the doors are at his old hangar, and he'll try and get them for me. I'll probably try to sell the top and the doors either locally or on here. My stepdad doesn't believe that the hole in the dash is a bullet hole, and doesn't know what it's from. Good news though, it seems to have missed the Harrison Heater! I also got to bring home another project, an early '70s 175cc Kawasaki!! Edited by Rockgod1619 - 26 July 2020 at 1:54pm |

That's my thought as well. I'll have to look up under the dash and see the path. But I could see that it didn't hit the heater!

Nice haul!
Dual sport motorcycles kind of like jeeps, they’re not great on the highway but will take you most anywhere.

Yep! The current thought (not a plan yet) is to put a hitch receiver on the 3A and get a carrier for the Kawa!
