Some random photos of Bam Bam over the hood of Grampa’s Jeep along with great scenery as we travel down Poughkeepsie Gulch.

After dropping down into Telluride, we took Imogene back over to Ouray. I didn’t take many pictures this time since I’ve posted those earlier. I crossed the Imogene summit four times this week.

Stan and I opted to make a change in plans and spend a couple days in Moab to close out the two week adventure. We met up with Ted and Travis to do Steel Bender:

This trail is both beautiful and challenging:

Dragon’s Tail:

Travis on second half of Dragon’s Tail:

This is an awesome trail that presents all new challenges if you run it backwards.

I would ask why you don't just move here to the mountains, but then I remember that you manage to get to wheel ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.  I guess Illinois is a good enough centrally-located place.  Smile

BTW, from where can one acquire a T-shirt that has Grampa's Jeep and "When I grow up I..."??  I wonder if Supercarblondie would wear one?

You guys have inspired me to the point that I bagged an ill-fated vacation to Florida, and momma and I are headed out to Colorado and eventually Moab next week. We have viturally no plan, because it's so last minute. But we have a rented Jeep and we'll figure it out when we get there!

Appreciate all the pics and videos!

When in Moab make sure you do Hell's Revenge it is the Sand Flats right next to town. You don't have to do the three "hard" side attractions but the basic trail is the most fun I have had in a 4X4. When in Ouray, do Imogene pass and over to Teluride. Not too hard but really scenic (see JPET's videos). Of course if you have the time, do the Alpine Loop. Have fun!

Here’s a video of our run through Steel Bender. As Jeff said, a wonderful trail.

I took a bunch of Jeff's video and put together this tour of Black Bear Road. I think this really gives you a feel of what driving the trail is like. Not super difficult, but super spectacular and fun.

A pic from our evening ride on Fins and Things. I didn’t know this picture existed until I got a pm on Facebook with this attached.  Pretty cool.
