The story of my jeep is kinda odd. It has been in my family since before my time. My great grandpa (Darwin) got it for pulling a small trailer "i think" and to just mess around in the mountains with. He put a Chevy V8 in and i think also plowed snow with it for a while. Then he died in 99 and it sat for maybe 9 years in a shop. Someone replaced the gas tank at a point in time and other than that it had nothing done with it. In 2015 my grandma got it passed down to her. They fixed the master cylinder for the brakes, got it a new clutch cable and had it running. In 2019 they passed it down to me because i am pretty much the only mechanic in my family. it had lots "and still does" of problems that needed to be gone. The carb was messed up, we had to adgust the clutch and many more. this year "2020" i have taken the roof that overhung off the sides and had no doors off. i have fixed a slave cylinder and replaced the carb and other things. It still is nowhere close to being driveable. the plugs are bad and carb is still out of adjustment. but there is lots of time to finish my many problems.

Welcome Carson. Sounds like you have some very special family history in your jeep... which is very cool. Please post some pics of it at some point... and they don't need to be pretty.

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |

Welcome aboard, Carson ... would love some pics, but right out of the gate you have that family connection that I couldn't buy at any price for mine.

Did more painting, adjusted the valves on the motor, and tore down the rear driver wheel slave.

i covered the jeep up for a month because i was out of gas and it was starting to snow. when i finally put gas and new plugs in I couldn't get any gas to the carb. Im thinking i probably have a hole in a hose so the pump is losing suction. Hopefully its not a line.

i finally got gas to the carb and still don't know what was wrong with it. It is running like it just came out of the factory. there is lots of noise on the right side and my exhaust hole is getting worse. Any recommendations on a fix?
