Does anyone have a handle on the accurate weight of a complete L-134 "Go-Devil" long block? I have moved a dozen of these but never shipped one before. It is a complete assy. less the flywheel.

Thanks

Heavy enough you don't want one suspended from the front loader on a tractor while on a slope. I had one I wanted to move to a storage shed which is down hill from my garage. I had moved a set of axles, a transmission/transfer case assembly to the shed by chaining them to my front loader with no problem.

When I picked up the engine and started toward the shed which is at an angle on a mild slope, the engine swung to one side and tipped the tractor.

That was a complete engine with flywheel and bell housing, but I am guessing that weighs more than an axle or Trans/T case.
If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!

500-575 lbs....depending upon who you ask. Take 30lbs off for the flywheel.

I have not weighed one, but it is much closer to 575 lbs than it is to 365 lbs. I can lift 350 lbs but I can not even budge an L-134, even with the flywheel off. It is indeed heavier than a lot of V-6 engines.

That is about the same weight as a Chevy 350.
