That gasket does not look correct to me. On my 3A windshield, the ends of the gasket turn down - not forward.

I'm done I have bought every variation of this seal I can find. The latest from Ron Fitzpatrick.  It fit the downward turn the best. But when installed there was a 1/4" gap at the back edge between the seal and the top of the cowl. I cut strips of 1/4" T Neoprene foam and carpet taped them to the back edge of the seal tapering them into the curve. This resulted in a decent seal. I would really prefer a original style seal with the bigger heavier front lip but the seals that have this are otherwise misshapen. My  windshield appears to be offset to the right about an 1/8"  making the clamps a PITA to lock down. I'm toying with the idea of some sealer on the top edge.
Its time to move on.

Mark,
Several years ago, I was restoring my Jaguar. There was only one supplier in the world that made the seals for the front 1/4 windows and they were wrong. When they made the molds, they forgot to include a lip on the inside. This made the seal absolutly useless. With the glass installed, I had about a 1/4-1/8" gap.

To fill the void, I used 3M windshield urethane. I discovered that it would not stick to vinyl electrical tape. I masked off the sealing surfaces that I did not want it to stick to, roughed up the rubber seal, filled the void with urethane, locked down the glass, wiped away the excess and let it sit for a week to cure. It bonded to the rubber seal but not to the tape. I had to work in sections or I would have never been able to break the glass free. The end result was a form fitted seal that does not let wind or water in.

I thought about doing something like that to put an angle to the bottom surface of the seal. But how to get the thickness just right so it was tight when the windshield was clamped down seamed much to hard to figure out. So I went with the 1/4" neoprene foam It could be a little better looking (seams between the sections of neoprene foam showing) But its livable for now. As its done with carpet tape I can always redo it if I can find some 1/4" neoprene foam that is longer. Or I might look for a high density weather strip foam tape like I used on the Radiator seal.

Another concern was the angle of the windshield at rest. I measured a drawing I have that is supposed to be accurate to the 3A and it showed the windshield angle to be approx 15-16 degrees off 90 when compared to the rear edge of the tub. I have about 16-17 degrees so I am good with that. As I am not sure if the gasket was any thicker I could get the clamps closed.

How about using 2A windshield pivot mount versus 3A or what pivots are you using, is that causing the windshield not to sit at the proper angle for the seals to work? just an idea.

Here's several pics of my 3B windshield seal and forward hinge pivot for comparison, dang it just remove you head and hold it sideways to clearly see the top three pics.

I'm using the same mounts that have been on the jeep since the windshield was put on and before possibly. No idea if dad moved the mounts from his junk 49 3A when he swapped the windshield on to Chug in 62-63.
