I like to run 7.50’s on my cj’s.
Anyone have pics of 7.00 or 7.50 tires on a Bantam ?
Would like to see how well taller tires fit inside the TC3 and the M416 fenders.
Currently building my final F-134 powered 3B .

Ken,

Look for pictures of M100 Trailers they had 7.00-16s so it would look virtually the same.

Yeah I guess I can’t really notice any difference.

Mainly wondering if 7.50’s will fit a TC3 without problems.
Plan to use the 5x16 wheels.
Wanting to buy a Jeep trailer that can handle 7.50 tires.

We had 750x16s on Bantam #1431 and its spring hangers had been chopped. It was a tight fit but they worked. Under heavy loads though (ie, a load of fire wood) the fenders would rub the sidewall. They would work better with unmodified spring hangers and probably be just fine.

These tires are 6.50 x 16. There are new springs on the trailer which might give a bit more room than on tired springs. 7.50 x 16 would only take another inch or so of space- probably would work fine.

Well Fed, your chopped off hangers does a great job of lowering the fender wells down to the tires.
I can clearly see that the fenders are just large enough radius to handle those 7.50 tires.
I was previously thinking I may have to go with m416 fenders to fit the 32” tires.

I definitely wanna try for a Bantam T3-C with 7.50 tires to match my flatty.

That modification was done decades ago and it ended up chewing up the tires under heavy load with the 7.50x16s. We like having more space for bouncing or heavy loads when we hit a bump or two. When we did the restoration, we put it back the way it was from the factory with 6.00x16s.

Well Fed, That turned out rather attractive.
 Unusual but really nice color.
With my plans I certainly won’t be chopping off the spring mount brackets in some duh! effort to lower the COG.

Yeah Stev, I don’t care much for the M416 wheels, but I do really like the fenders.
Having additional flat surfaces in the back country is always a plus.
I see they mat h the angle of the CJ fenders too.
I wonder if those flat top fenders would be a direct bolt on fit for a T3-C ?
Anyone tried it ?

My "working" Bantam has 225/70 x16 tires.  (not close to original,  but I wanted some flotation, and got these for $40, almost new)

This trailer has been loaded to bump-stops many times,  and has seen some serious use on trails, hauling out firewood.  It has never rubbed the tires anywhere.   They are shorter than 7.50's (28.5"),  but wider (8.5") . .  (those measurements with eyeball and tape measure)

I would think 7.50 x 16's  would fit fine.

Can someone verify the Bantam fender radius ?

I made a template out of thick cardboard to the diameter of the 7.50x16 NDTs.   It was used for laying out the rear gas/tire rack.    I keep moving that cardboard around,   thinking I should just throw it away.

Glad I did not LOL,  I will compare it to my 2 Bantams this evening.   I don't remember the exact diameter,  but will share the measurement also.  It should be close to 32"

When a circle or a portion “there of “ is checked it is normally compared to what’s called a radius gauge.
It is called a radius gauge and not a diameter gauge because only a portion of a circle is typically compared.
Yes the radius is on 16” but in my case the term “radius” was meant to reference the use of a gauge exactly as No Fender” has commented.
