There are few precious commodities that are simultaneously finite and limitless… You can spend your money and make more… buy, sell, barter and trade all manner of tangibles…but there may be no bigger compliment than to have someone spend their TIME with you in mind. Embarrassed

Stopped over a buddies place yesterday, well, summoned actually…honestly thought I was being recruited to grab an end of something heavy, lol… but hey-  beer is beer. LOL

Jim and his wife are salt of the earth folks, the kind you want in your portfolio.  He’ll tell you he’s a tinkerer.  I’ll tell you he doesn’t really care what something was conceived as, developed as, manufactured or marketed as… he sees things differently, lol.  Over the years he’s turned items that most might scrap into what I’d call modern Americana.  He recently came into a used waterjet cut jeep firepit.  Where most might clean it up and put it back in service, he saw “table”.  A little “Normandy Blue”, the appropriate and period correct license plates, and my beer will no longer reside on my toolbox, or on the welder, or…

He’d tell you it was a last second throw in, but the table came with a mascot done in my colors…

Which may have already found a home-

When pressed to explain the occasion, I mean it’s not xmas, or my birthday, he simply said there wasn’t one…”I just saw the jeep firepit… and thought of you

Humbling….

A good friend, indeed.  Love the fire pit but the gesture is priceless.

With good friends it always goes both ways.  That is so cool!  Also, I've always wondered what a clean desk would look like!
